After Half-price Weds night and a Mexican Lunch Thurs at the VFW, will probably go to A Dance on Sat Night. (Unlike Spain, for example, functions begin and end earlier - this one goes from 6-10pm - properly reflecting the ages of the residents/members)

I am reminded of the old story:

"Grandma thinks she is a chicken"
"Well, why don't you tell her she's not?"
"Well, we need the eggs..."

My sweet OCDHousekeeper is a compulsive cleaner, although apparently she takes drugs to combat diagnosed ADHD ( like my sister Carol). Although I've interviewed a bunch more ladies, not ready to swap her yet. 

Got a nice note along with a new library card from Anna H., local councilman. She's a nice lady, but writes in ALL CAPS. She talks of missing Karen's "million dollar smile". That set me back some. Gulp.

Lots of Drama. Current lady, OCD, is best cleaner ever, but has  lotsa "issues". Put an ad in again, now interviewing. Nobody looks real good so far. We used to laugh, back in the day, when folks said: "You know, you just can't find good help these days." Now, older and wiser, I see how sad and true this is; mebbe just the Arkansas Attitude, but mebbe true all over. Others here, not locals, echo these sentiments.

Visited New Orleans. Great music, food, friends. What a fun place; hot and humid though.

Sister Carol in STL warns me about now having a target on my back

Here is a short note from my ADD (and proud of it) sister Carol in St. Louis:

"Glad your cleaning women is OC, and the place is gleaming. This time in your life, a new grieving widower, puta a target on your back! Man in emotional need.....calls to females to get in line to SERVE!!!! 

I will share stories  at Thanksgiving visit of male friends who tell of women coming over with NO CLOTHES under their coats...etc...... To HELP......It could make a good SHOWTIME  drama......WIDOWER WARNINGS!!!!!!  COUGARS R US!!!!!!   

Make sure you get the news out that you are broke, impotent, and practicing Satan worship....it will cut down on the list of those interested in SERVING your recent needs."

Hope she can visit again at Thanksgiving...She was invaluable here in the first week after K passed.
