Women...
The massive Dominican White-Robed Priest who taught Theology at Notre Dame once told us: "Gentleman; find a woman you can talk to; marriage is much more discourse than intercourse..." And, although he gave me one of my few "A"s, he was right, as I realize especially now in my recent widower life...
Although I'm not really looking to get married again soon, being close to a loving woman seems very attractive.

Sports Cars
Roadsters.
Those two seater-convertibles, so beloved of young men and others. I used to drive an MG Midget/Austin Healy Sprite (Same car long ago) as a Youth, and one was recently for sale locally.
"Well, I'm asking $22,000 cuz got $21,000 in it already..." said the owner.
It is a 197x Cherry Red Midget in near perfect condition, but AVERAGE national sell price is about $4300, so the money is WAY out of line, The fellow showing it for the owner had a little trouble getting it started for me...repeated cranks, starter spray in the carbs; it finally blows a little smoke and gets running. Then...I find that I can no longer get into one - with the convertible top up. GROAN...I probably could have worked on it and pried myself into it, but the first, and last, attempt was a no go.
I had promised Karen that IF I ever looked at one, or bought one, I would not get and wear one of those funny caps with the little bill the English wear, especially when driving Roadsters. Well, that promise is safe.

Club 178 Songfest...
Saturday night at Club 178, and at the next table, nineteen
guys breakout into a capella singing of barbershop/men's chorus songs. Seems
they visit from all over to go trout fishing and then go out to dinner, for
several days. They sang about six songs between courses and afterwards.
Needless to say, they brought down the house. One of the
highpoints of my limited musical life.
Got only one good (2 1/2 min) video of a song, on my iPhone,
but it is too long to attach to an email.
