Real Estate

Well...

We listed the house with the 'best" agent around. He'd promised to make a drone-video based "movie" about our house - no cost to us. We'll see. Only agent in BS sez she is not accepting listings and the on the market time is measured in years right now.

The listing agency had a walk thru for many of their agents earlier this week...some were disturbed by the presence of Bel Arco Resort across the street (Facts: We built the LR addition with a solid wall to eliminate views to the Resort/East, and really can not see or hear anything from B'A.Current owners are failing to get enough folks in to make it...only rooms "fixed up" i.e. inhabitable, say guests, are those on the far (from us) side of their buildings. Several attempt to reopen the restaurant have failed. Bel Arco is empty most of the time; and on and on...)

We are really disappointed in looking around at other "lake view" homes...outside of BS. Poor views, overpriced; nothing that we would even consider. yet our current place is listed and we'll have to scramble if someone offers our asking price and buys it.

We are now living in 231; 218 (rented thru July) is also For Sale.

Christmas

We will spend the holiday at home...went to see Mary's mother in Conway last Saturday...Turns out she had received approval to go home Saturday; but we did visit for several hours, then drove home. Not planning to visit her house with resident Dog...in Perryville, her home, some 30-40 miles from Conway.

Got the 231 house listed with Beaman, but do not expect a lot of action during Christmastime. We are pretty disappointed in what we have looked at so far (Not BS, Lake view, maybe somewhat smaller) and think perhaps we set our asking price too low.

Mary has literally hundreds of Christmas figures (Santas, reindeer, snowmen, trains, etc.)
We picked three good ones and sent to Jevin; did Netsuke's assortments for Tom, Pat, and Meghan...

No snow yet, some cold, no ice that has stuck. Now 63 degrees. Most all leaves down so the view of the Lake is pretty good.
